Who can use it
You must be 18 or over, use your own e-mail address and have only one account. If we have reason to think someone is under 18, we will close their account.
What you can’t share or do
- Anything illegal — including child sexual abuse material (we report it to the National Crime Agency), terrorist content, threats, and selling illegal goods.
- Sexual images sent to people who didn’t ask for them.
- Intimate images of anyone without their consent, including fakes and edited images — or threatening to share them.
- Harassment, bullying, stalking or intimidation — including pressuring someone to share their location, or using the map to follow or turn up on someone.
- Other people’s private information — their address, number, documents, or photos of them taken without their knowledge in private places.
- Threats or encouraging violence, and content that encourages suicide or self-harm.
- Hate — attacking people because of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity or similar characteristics.
- Spam, scams and fraud, pretending to be someone else, or selling or advertising things.
- Photos you don’t have the right to share.
Be thoughtful
If other people are clearly in your photo, make sure they’re happy to be shared. Don’t screenshot or pass on someone else’s snap without asking. Delete a snap if someone asks you to.
What happens if someone breaks the rules
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the content, send a warning, suspend the account (1 to 30 days) or ban it permanently. Banned e-mail addresses can’t join again. Illegal content may be reported to the police or the National Crime Agency. You can appeal any decision — see our complaints and appeals procedure.
Reporting
Use Report on any snap or profile. You can also e-mail hello@friendo.uk, even if you don’t have an account. In an emergency, call 999.
