Ads and affiliate disclosure

The app has no ads, sponsored content or affiliate links — not in snaps, maps, friends lists or any app screen.
Some information pages (home, how it works, safety centre, FAQ, about and blog) can show a banner ad from 5od, the owner’s own ad service, for brands in the Awin affiliate network. If you buy something after clicking one, Friendo may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Banners only load if you accept ads cookies — see how ads work.
Other links to outside websites (help organisations, map credits, font credits) are ordinary links and earn us nothing. They go through our own /go/ address so we can keep them up to date.
